Reception of École Primaire du Petit Paris

This year, our school was lucky enough to welcome the children from the ‘École Primaire du Petit Paris’. We had three wonderful days together. You can see a summary of the activities we did during those days in the image below.

On the first day, we played a variety of games to get to know each other, gave them a guided tour of our school and taught them some traditional Galician games.

On our second day, we visited Santiago de Compostela, enjoyed a stroll around the city, went inside the cathedral, and of course we couldn’t resist showing our friends the best views of the city from Alameda Park. We even have time to make little drawings of the cathedral!

We spent our last day back at school. We did lots of things: we interviewed our friends about their town and school, played various maths games, share our best moments in Oroso and made our own badges.
They couldn't leave without painting their own stones, which remain as a memento under the tree at the school entrance. It's become a tradition by now!

We hope you liked our school and that you enjoyed your visit as much as we enjoyed having you here!

EBS TOMÁS DE BORBA VISITS OUR SCHOOL

This week we have our friends from the Azores coming to our school. We have planned some activities to do together, such as a cooking workshop and a painting workshop.

During the first two days, we spent time doing the workshops in smaller groups. On the first day, half of our sixth graders and half of the students from EBS Tomás de Borba cooked while the other half painted. The next day, the groups switched so that everyone could participate in both workshops.

Our visiting students also had the opportunity to play some attention games that we use in our school workshops.

The fifth- and sixth-grade students learned more about Azorean gastronomy and culture through a presentation. They even brought us some things to try!

On the last day, we went together to Santiago's City of Culture, where we visited three different exhibitions. One was about traditional Galician art, another focused on the four seasons, and the last one explored how the world is changing to adapt to technology. We had a great time together and hope we can continue seeing each other in the future! Our visiting students also have the opportunite to play some attentional games we use in our school's workshops.

EBS Tomás de Borba visits CEIP Plurilingüe do Camiño Inglés

Last week, we welcomed our partners from EBS Tomás de Borba. It was a very special visit since our teacher Lorena and Iria had been welcomed at their school the previous school year and back very happy with the experience. Therefore, having them at our school was a pleasant activity.

We started the week by developing a breakout around the school familiarize with the facilities and ensure that our visitors did not get lost.

Among other activities, we held a badge-making workshop, a stone-decorating workshop, radio interviews, and an assembly led by the Coexistence and Well-being Team, featuring the Azorean Students.

We also had time to visit our village and met the major. Doing tourism in Santiago de Compostela has become a "must" for our Erasmus+ partners, and so we did.
